Thanks again, Brooke.

Hello, Melissa!  This is the information I have as well.  I think it's a matter of massaging the details and making sure the panels are thoughtfully constructed -- preferably with local guidance -- AND, as there have been a multitude of panels recently, we would love to take a different approach than those you have been privy to at this point.  Has there been a particularly overlooked aspect of these water issues that should be brought to the public's attention?  Have environmental-climate-justice topics been paneled specifically?

Thanks!

Thank you Brooke!  I'm going to forward this information to our AUSCP coordinators Bev Bingle & Tom McDonald so as to see if there might already be preexisting connections to prevent us reinventing the wheel.  I feel comfortable providing outreach after they check in with all of us on what is being considered.

Thank you for the quick response!

Much Love,

Jimmy,

Below are faculty I thought of/found.

Melissa would probably know better about the community as a whole as my focus is usually UT. I absolutely can be active in the events as well. I have that Friday blocked off in my calendar so I am free the whole day besides my class which is from 2-3PM. And Saturday I’ll have limited availability as I will have to work recycling at our home football game.

Thanks, Brooke!

If you are able to get me any contact information for organizations or key local activists/advocates that you think it prudent for me to pursue for some form of EJ/Water Rights panel, that would be great.  Similarly, I did want to see if there are any individuals (yourself absolutely included) who would want to be active in the discussion and events in a collaborative way.  Benjamin is not a seasoned organizer yet, so I am working in areas where he may be struggling per his requests this past weekend.

Once I receive a word back from the AUSCP committee, I'll have a better idea of what type of program will be crafted in this short period of time :)

Many, many thanks for your counsel on this so far,

Hi Jimmy,

I haven't made much movement on our end. Trying to find the right people to talk to has been difficult.

I haven't heard from others, but would love to talk with then about ideas of other events. Melissa Said she would forward me what she had when I had a meeting with her on a separate topic last week but has not yet. She said to her knowledge a pastor was planning your stay?

Hello Brooke,

I am just checking in on any developments -- I have found a location for some prospective events and wanted to see if you would want to engage with the organizers there -- I know Benjamin was planning on connecting you and making a determination on campsites after more discussion, so wanted to see if there was any information gathered from Melissa Green to your knowledge as well.
The AUSCP organization is handling quite a bit of our logistics/meals/etc, but there is plenty of content/contributors to seek out for environmental justice panels and specific actions & demonstrations in Toledo.

I hope you are having a great weekend -- we are in Elkhart, Indiana :)

to NWOPC and AUSCP planners,

Some additional information for our Tuesday meeting.  Jimmy Betts is the March coordinator for our region;  he's making some UT contacts.
